About the Role
The Staff Field System Engineer is responsible for aiding senior engineering's with hyperscale compute solutions. This person will be aiding in design customer offerings and system management, including software integration with server and storage system products to solve customer issues. The responsibilities for this position include working directly with customers, marketing, and core technology suppliers to understand and solve technical problems facing the customer.
Responsibilities
• Aiding with develops long-term hyperscale server technology strategies based on technical and business footprint of the customer needs.
• Aids in internal and external integration of system level engineering strategy
• Work directly with customers on integration and deployment of new server hardware including configuring of BIOS, PXE, UBoot, IPMI, and RAID
• Aids in determining how to solve performance/operational problems and deliver business value
Minimum Qualifications
• Moderate communication, social, commercial and negotiation skills
• Minimum BSEE/BSCE/BSCS and 3+years of working knowledge, preferred Masters; MSEE/MSCE/MSCS
