The Role
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing (NDT) Nondestructive Test (MT) Magnetic Particle Testing, (PT) Liquid Penetrant Testing and limited (VT) Visual Inspection on new construction submarines, aircraft Carriers and fleet support. This job requires the ability to test and obtain certifications in nondestructive testing in accordance with regulations. MT/PT inspectors will be evaluating the welds to determine acceptance or rejection based on applicable procedures. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all requirements of drawings and procedures are met prior to and during inspection and will be responsible for proper documentation of inspection results and disposition. The individual will also be responsible for minor weld grinding using pneumatic tools such as wire wheels, straight grinders and angle grinders.
