Role Summary:

The Inside Sales Consultant is a consultative sales role, responsible for converting inbound interest and driving outbound revenue through thoughtful, customer‑focused engagement. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated to close, competitive in nature, and energized by goals, while understanding that the best sales outcomes are built on trust, clarity, and long‑term value. 

You will manage a mix of inbound and outbound opportunities, including handling inbound sales inquiries, preventing order fallout by reengaging prospective customers, and winning back former customers. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong sales instincts, and the desire to grow into a leadership role by consistently “selling the right way.” 

This is not a high‑pressure, script‑driven sales environment. We are looking for professionals who know how to ask confidently for the sale while maintaining credibility, transparency, and respect for the customer. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Convert inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and chat through confident, consultative and value driven conversations 

  • Proactively conduct outbound outreach to:

  • Reengage prospective customers who have not scheduled or completed installation 

  • Recover stalled opportunities and prevent order fallout 

  • Win back former customers through thoughtful, value focused outreach 

  • Confidently address objections and clearly ask for the sale, balancing urgency with professionalism 

  • Take ownership of opportunities from first contact through scheduled installation, proactively following up to maintain momentum and reduce fallout 

  • Conduct needs-based discovery, to understand customer priorities and recommend appropriate solutions 

  • Clearly communicate the value of Gateway Fiber’s products and services without exaggeration or pressure tactics 

  • Set accurate expectations and build trust at every stage of the sales process 

  • Represent the Gateway Fiber brand with consistency, integrity, and a customer first mindset 

  • Track outreach, follow‑ups, and outcomes to ensure reliable pipeline visibility 

  • Demonstrate strong time management, prioritization, and follow through 

  • Collaborate across Sales, Scheduling, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Care teams to deliver a seamless customer experience 

  • Maintain accurate, high‑quality documentation in CRM systems 

What Success Looks Like: 

  • Success in this role is measured through close rates, outbound activity, scheduled installations, revenue contribution, and quality documentation 

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding sales and activity expectations 

  • Strong close rates on both inbound and outbound opportunities 

  • Reduced fallout through proactive engagement 

  • Customers who feel informed, respected, and confident choosing Gateway Fiber

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales experience 

  • 1+ year of customer service experience 

  • Comfort with inbound closing and outbound prospecting 

  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining detailed documentation 

  • Ability to thrive in a metrics‑driven, performance‑oriented environment
