Description
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
With guidance from senior staff, you will support the objectives of the Communications Department to build the Horrocks brand as you share company information internally and externally by doing the following:
- Assist in the creation and execution of communications initiatives.
- Create content for internal communications, events, and social media/blog articles.
- Collaborate with technical staff, clients, and various corporate departments to support campaigns and communications that meet their needs.
- Help maintain a content calendar and assist in gathering/organizing information as assigned by supervisor.
- Monitor engagement on Horrocks’ internal communications channels.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Horrocks brand, voice, and mission.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Act as an ambassador to build Horrocks’ culture.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or equivalent
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver projects within deadlines
- Comfortable taking ownership of and leading some campaigns
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn and improve performance through feedback
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- One to two years of writing and communications experience is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Viva Engage, and Canva preferred
- Bachelors or better in Communication or related field.
- Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field.
