The Software Engineer Specialist - The Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing and maintaining software, and overall system architecture, as well as providing technical feedback and sharing knowledge, and the role will be located in Bangalore location on hybrid work model.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Include

• Designing and developing high-quality software solutions by analyzing user requirements and ensuring robust, defect-free implementation
• Driving architectural decisions, including modular and plugin-based designs
• Developing and maintaining high-performance features using modern C++
• Building and enhancing UI components using Qt (Widgets/QML)
• Troubleshooting complex issues related to memory, performance, and system behavior
• Investigating production issues and performing end-to-end root cause analysis across system layers
• Working on workflow automation, file processing, and integration pipelines
• Collaborating closely with Product Management, QA, and Customer Support to understand real-world use cases and improve product quality
• Optimizing application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards

Ongoing Responsibilities

• Maintaining and enhancing software applications, including bug fixes, updates, and feature enhancements
• Collaborating effectively with developers, testers, and project managers to drive successful delivery
• Staying current with industry trends, tools, and technologies
• Providing technical support, including troubleshooting, user guidance, and knowledge sharing
• Documenting development processes, including design decisions, testing outcomes, and maintenance activities
• Identifying and driving adoption of new tools, frameworks, and processes across the SDLC
• Mentoring and enabling the team through knowledge sharing and best practice adoption

Professional knowledge

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 15+ years of software development experience
• Strong programming expertise in C++ (mandatory), along with Python, Node.js, or JavaScript

Core Technical Skills

• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills, including memory leak detection, profiling, and root cause analysis
• Experience with build systems such as CMake
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git or Perforce
• Strong CI/CD experience using Jenkins
• Hands-on experience with Mac and Windows environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Strong understanding of APIs (REST, gRPC)
• Experience with workflow-driven systems or automation pipelines

Frontend & Full-Stack Capabilities

• Familiarity with React.js or Angular or Vue.js is a plus
• Good understanding of database design with SQL and/or NoSQL

Development Practices & Tools

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, GitHub, etc.
• Awareness and usage of modern AI tools to enhance productivity and quality

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
