GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


Getting to Work (GTW) is a supported employment program that provides pre-placement, intensive job coaching, and long term follow along services as well as benefits counseling services to consumers with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Getting to Work is also a registered Employment Network and supports social security beneficiaries in finding and maintaining work. The GTW Program Manager will be responsible for oversight of employment services and supervision of employment staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise GTW program staff.

  • Provide ongoing feedback and evaluation of GTW staff including, but not limited to: annual evaluations, development of SMART goals, and site visits.

  • Assist in billing program hours by gathering billing documents, including employment plans, progress notes, and reports.

  • Track open vouchers and authorizations and conduct regular quality checks of progress notes for each consumer.

  • Monitor data entry, including the development of employment plans, progress notes, and assessments, to ensure that the program complies with CARF and FRN quality standards.

  • Maintain a caseload and provide job coaching approximately 5 hours per week.

  • Assist in job development for GTW participants and develop partnerships with local employers.

  • Serve as primary point of contact with program funders (DDD, NJDVRS, NJCBVI).

  • Acquire new referrals through outreach to funders, DVRS regional offices, and support coordination agencies.

  • Coordinate initial and on-going training for all GTW program staff.

  • Review and approve time sheets and expenses for all GTW staff.

  • Submit reports, documentation, and updates to Director of Programs and Services as requested.

  • Perform other job duties as required by supervisor or CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Prior experience providing supported employment services and writing employment plans

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
