Join our team as an Eviction Coordinator a key role in administering residential evictions across various states. This position involves tracking and processing evictions in collaboration with property management teams, and internal/external counsel. The work is closely guided, and the challenges encountered are typically straightforward, requiring the explanation of facts, policies, and practices related to the job area.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily tasks in support of property management teams, in-house counsel, and local outside counsel. This includes processing and tracking evictions in various states and conducting first-level reviews of outside counsel billing.
- Use various systems and platforms to gather documents and information to prepare eviction files for legal staff.
- Develop and maintain files, databases, and systems to collect, store, and retrieve data. Generate reports for departmental business needs.
- Respond to queries and investigations, prepare summary reports for property management teams and legal staff. Identify and escalate key observations and provide outcomes to in-house and local counsel to ensure compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Support the legal department with research, data tracking projects, and drafting documents as assigned. Work collaboratively with all legal staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies and/or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate, property management, the legal industry, paralegal, and/or related required.
- A Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
- Confidentiality and attorney-client privilege should be maintained.
- Candidates should be comfortable managing a fast-paced, high volume of work.
- Proficiency in Excel/Smartsheet from novice to intermediate level is expected, along with the capacity to learn new software and multiple platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Candidates should be capable of working independently and making sound decisions.
- Intermediate problem-solving and analytic skills are needed, with the capacity to act decisively in critical situations.
- All responsibilities should be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $23.19 to $27.83 Hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.Additional Compensation
