Job Description
What You Will Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in biomechanical, mechanical, or a related field of engineering
- Professional experience in planning, coordinating, and executing full vehicle and component-level crash tests (i.e., frontal, side, rear, rollover, static, and subsystem tests)
- Experience in analyzing crash test data (i.e., structural and occupant)
- Experience analyzing and/or performing structural crashworthiness and occupant-safety simulations (e.g., frontal, side, rear, rollover, pedestrian protection, etc.)
- Strong knowledge in automotive structure, crashworthiness, and safety performance
- Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), NCAP, and IIHS safety evaluations
- Experience using data analysis tools (e.g., DIAdem, Hyperworks, etc.) for testing purposes
- Knowledge of testing, test equipment, and the processes necessary to meet vehicle safety requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Flexibility with program and process changes, as Hyundai/Kia/Genesis is willing to make late changes to satisfy customer needs
- Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Project management experience
