The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking to provide students and recent graduates of Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified academic courses and Military Occupation Codes with the opportunity to join our 787 production teams working as an Aircraft Painter in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift!
Your BPET Endorsement Form will outline the specific roles for which your course or Military Occupation Code qualifies you for a direct offer of employment. Following your application, a Boeing recruiter will reach out to discuss these roles and ensure a smooth transition into your new role.

BPET Endorsement Form
For students/graduates of aligned academic programs, this form is issued by Boeing, following confirmation by your academic program.
For military servicemembers or veterans, this form is issued by Boeing, following review of your Military Occupation Code.
Updated Resume: Your resume should provide a comprehensive overview of your hands-on tool experience and/or manufacturing skill sets.
Primary Responsibilities:

English proficiency is required, as our business is conducted in English
Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.
Performs inspection of aircraft parts arriving at the component paint facility
Cleans aircraft assemblies
Masking of aircraft assemblies
Sanding of aircraft assemblies
Priming and painting aircraft assemblies
Have the ability of viewing and understand computer- based work instructions and drawings
Maintaining all certifications that are required for the Component Paint shop
This position requires an individual to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment.
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) academic course or Military Occupation Code that is certified for the BPET Assembly Structures Mechanic role. Applicants must have a valid BPET Endorsement Form.
Physical demands and requirements:
Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
Experience in paint preparation and painting.
Must have the ability to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks (OSHA STD state)
Must have the ability to complete Fall protection training
Experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting

Shift:
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.
