Job Description

Responsibilities To assist the Warehouse Operations Manager to plan and manage a team of operatives, to achieve daily workload, with total compliance to all legislation appertaining to Health & Safety, Food Quality and Safety, Employment Law and EU and company hygiene standards. Coaching and development of team members to deliver the Warehouse expectations. Major duties & responsibilities: Daily resource planning to achieve department objectives – review and adapt as required throughout the day Liaising with Warehouse Shift Manager and on site trainer to ensure skill training requirements are being met. Meeting the required deadlines – picking and loading Manage the team to achieve handling rates QIP – Making sure that the shift follow QIP guidelines and that daily paperwork complete. Raising product issues with the Quality Manager. To ensure all cages picked and loaded meet MB standards. To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team. To manage the work area to ensure clean and tidy at all times. To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards. To achieve the targets and job standards set out by management. To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work. To perform any reasonable request from Management. Understand company KPIs and motivate the team to achieve daily output objectives. Utilise WMOS system to manage and plan the daily requirements Ensure all required admin is completed to standard - daily Supervisor floor walk, shift reports, bible and Crown, daily quality audit. · Ensure stand up supervisors are fully trained, to cover all duties and run the department as required. People management to include recruitment, return to work, 1-1 appraisals and performance management conversations Maintain product temperatures on loaded trailers to quality and food safety standards. Willing to perform fire warden and first aid duties.
