Job Title: Delivery Driver

Department: Shop

Reports to: Sheetmetal Shop Manager

Job Type: Full -Time

FLSA Status: Non-exempt (Eligible for OT)

Location: Louisville, CO

Wage Range: $25-35/hr

Job Description:
The Delivery Driver ensures the safety of those we work with and around, the quality of the services we provide, and the realization of our profitability goals as they specifically relate to the transportation of products we fabricate and install. The Delivery Driver will operate a 16 or 26 ft. box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service. Loads, secures, verifies, and unloads cargo. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop good working and safety habits to ensure ZERO INCIDENTS within all areas of the company
  • Deliver products to customers, which may include assisting with unloading, ensuring delivery material, etc.
  • Load truck with daily deliveries and unload products at worksites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and internal policies and procedures. Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after the route
  • Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations. Maintains records such as vehicle logs and bills of ladings in accordance with guidelines
  • Attentive to instructions and complies with Fleet Manager requests
  • Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking all incoming material
  • Assist periodically in Sheetmetal fabrication shop when deliveries are fulfilled

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of box truck or smaller driving experience
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical assessment, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, and preemployment driving assessment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Currently possess or acquire valid auto insurance coverage
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • HVAC or construction hands-on work experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
