Transplant Coordinator (FT-Day, 40hrs/week) - Liver Transplant - Center City

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To evaluate potential liver transplant recipients. Will work with transplant team and referring physician to activate and follow patients on the waiting list. Maintain MELD score for waitlisted patients, Admit potential transplant recipients and donors into the hospital for transplant. Participate in cross-training to develop skills/knowledge necessary for management of the post-transplant recipient. Assist in the operation of pre transplant evaluation clinic hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Evaluate potential liver transplant recipients

• Partin in the on-call rotation
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:

Registered Nurse

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of three years experience with hepatic and/or transplant patients Strong communications and writing skills

Proficiency with computer applications
