
CT Technologist I or II - Weekend Option
Job Description
Essential Job Function
- Operates head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
- Performs routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within established benchmarks.
- Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow.
- Educates and prepares patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.
- Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalentGraduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program

- Required:Will accept any of the following licenses:ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
