Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, preparation, monitoring, and recovery while ensuring patient safety, adherence to clinical standards, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Licensure & Certification:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association) required
Advanced Certifications (CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience required
Prior experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, ER, or Critical Care strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately
Proficiency with Cath Lab equipment and monitoring systems
Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift, push, or pull patients and equipment as needed
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for clinical procedures
