JOB SUMMARY: Working under the direction of senior program management, coordinate and manage business, operational and contractual issues governing the success of the program. Work with and direct a cross functional team in support of assigned customer accounts across all aspects of the business relationship. Communicates with upper management on potential risks, elevated issues, and/or process improvement recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
- Primary customer interface responsible in coordination with global account management for the management and execution of all program management, order management and business management functions.
- In coordination with senior program management, manage customer expectations and requirements in areas ranging from material pricing, quote preparation, contract negotiation (to include manufacturing purchasing agreements), capacity planning, quality, new product introduction and on time delivery expectations.
- Coordination, documentation and execution of transition plans, project plans and standardized business processes/controls to include cost controls, variance approval, administration, reconciliation, key business metrics and quarterly business reviews.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting internal and external performance metrics on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Work with assigned program managers and customer focus teams (CFTs) to deliver customer excellence in order and backlog management, quality, on time delivery, accounts receivable and excess and obsolete inventory management.
- Reviews status reports prepared by Customer Focus Team (CFT) members and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Document and execute standardized cost controls, variance administration and reporting.
- Works laterally through the organization to solve problems. Assesses risks and communicates them to upper management.
- Generates, maintains and publishes weekly reports on cost, quality and delivery.
- Communicates progress with customers on a regular basis with guidance from senior program management.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.
- May be asked to assist in other duties to ensure production needs are met in a timely manner.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED: This position will report to assigned Business Unit Manager and receive guidance from SR Program managers and other site leadership. This position has no manager or supervisor duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree and knowledge of cost accounting, and proficiency in managing to timelines or have 1-2 years’ experience in cross-functional project management. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical publications and reports.
- Ability to clearly communicate and document communications both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, engineers, clients and customers.
- Applied engineering mathematics, statistics, and business and economic analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Intermediate to advanced ability to operate a computer and in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project for managing reports.
- Must possess a critical understanding of the business practice from the sales process through production.

- Knowledge in materials procurement

The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
