Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sanitation Coordinator to manage and coordinate sanitation and quality system activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and partner safety while supporting overall plant operations. The position predominantly operates on 3rd shift.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management & Coordination
- Oversee and coordinate sanitation and quality systems, including:
- EQMS (Enterprise Quality Management System)
- ECM (Enterprise Content Management)
- MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule)
- Sanitation scheduling and training programs
Sanitation & Quality Execution
- Initiate and manage inspection and environmental swabbing schedules
- Record, track, and analyze sanitation and microbiological results
- Maintain, update, and revise documentation and procedures
- Plan and coordinate cleaning and sanitation events
- Ensure compliance with:
- QSP (Quality System Programs)
- SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
- JSA (Job Safety Analysis)
Operational Support
- Serve as relief for the Sanitarian during absences or vacations
- Lead sanitation operations as needed
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend departmental meetings and conference calls
- Participate in scheduled facility clean-ups (weekly or as needed)
- Support internal and customer audits
- Complete required sanitation and microbiological training (travel may be required)
Food & Partner Safety
- Collaborate with leadership and team members to ensure food and partner safety
- Follow and execute all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Perform required PCP (Process Control Points) and CCP (Critical Control Points) checks
- Execute reaction plans for food safety, quality, and customer compliance issues
- Understand and uphold customer-specific requirements
Schedule & Work Environment
- Primary assignment: 3rd shift
- Flexibility required for schedule adjustments based on plant needs
- Standard schedule maintained when possible
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities
- Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and compliance standards preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
