
Admissions Frontline Communications Supervisor
Job Description
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions Services, the Admissions Communications Clerk is part of a team responsible for representing the front line for Admissions communications via email and phone calls.The ACC will typically answer a high-volume number of calls and emails throughout the day. These calls and emails range from general inquiries about Berklee, to detailed questions about the application process, including how/where to submit application materials. Some outgoing calls to applicants may be required to support the college’s recruitment efforts.
A strong understanding of Admissions policies, deadlines and procedures is required, in addition to knowledge about Berklee’s academic offerings
Capabilities required include:
- Organizational Skills - ability to complete multiple tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Communication Skills - Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner; ability to work well with others in a close working environment and assist faculty/staff with material requests. Excellent phone demeanor.
- Understanding of the college’s policies, deadlines and related Admissions information.
