Department: Adult CPRC - Lamplighter Square

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: St. Louis - Lamplighter Square

Compensation: $36.52 - $39.68 / hour

Lead and inspire recovery-focused services that empower individuals on their path to wellness and long-term success.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM

The Substance Use Recovery Supervisor provides leadership, support, and oversight for staff delivering substance use recovery services within community-based programs. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, strong documentation practices, and adherence to program standards while fostering a collaborative, person-centered approach to care. Working closely with staff, leadership, and community partners, the supervisor helps strengthen outcomes for individuals served through guidance, coaching, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to staff delivering substance use recovery services 
  •  Ensure documentation, case records, and service delivery meet organizational and regulatory standards 
  •  Monitor service plans, client progress, and care coordination efforts to promote positive outcomes 
  •  Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to support continuity of care and resource access 
  •  Support staff in delivering culturally competent, strengths-based services tailored to individual needs and goals 
  •  Partner with leadership to maintain program quality, safety, and operational effectiveness 
  •  Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to assigned team members 
  •  Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and timekeeping responsibilities 
  •  Collect and process urine drug screens as needed 
  •  Apply approved crisis intervention techniques in alignment with certification and organizational protocols 
  •  Drive as needed to support community-based service delivery


Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School/Ged Required 
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field preferred
 QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: 
  • Must be a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) as defined in 9 CSR 10-7.140 (2) (RR) 
or
  •  If not a QAP, individual must meet the qualifications of a Community Support Specialist with at least three years of experience providing community support services to individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders in accordance with the community support key service functions specified in 9 CSR 30-3.157 Community Support in CSTAR and 9 CSR 10-4.047 Community Support in CPR. 
  •  Experience is specific to the adult or child/youth/adolescent population the individual will supervise. 
  •  A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required 
  •  Must obtain and maintain certification in an approved crisis intervention methodology (CPI, MANDT, or CALM) within 60 days of hire

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  •  A current, active substance use credential in the state of Missouri (CADC, CRADC, or CRAADC, etc. as applicable) is preferred
