Job Description

Office careers · DFDS Headquarter (Marmorvej 18, Copenhagen)

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Then you might be the newest addition to our System and Product Support team in Passenger Revenue Operations as Capacity Specialist.

Be part of the movement – and play your part.

About the role

As a Capacity Specialist, you play a key role in capacity configuration, maintenance, and operational support across our Passenger route network. Working closely with colleagues in Operations, Revenue Operations and Technology & Innovation teams, you ensure we always have the right vessel and capacity available for sale.

The role combines hands‑on system configuration with continuous process development and optimisation. You will be responsible for launching sailings, managing in‑year schedule and vessel changes, and supporting reliable, standardized capacity setups across routes. Through strong structure, ownership, and collaboration, you help reduce operational risk and manual errors.

You will be part of the System and Product Support team within Passenger Revenue Operations — a diverse, collaborative, and data‑driven department of 19 colleagues across Europe. The role is based at our Headquarters in Copenhagen and reports to the Head of System and Product Support.

In this role, some of your primary tasks will be:

Capacity configuration and departure launch

  • Own the configuration of sailings for annual departure launches across assigned routes

  • Execute ad hoc and in‑year schedule and vessel changes in line with approved operational decisions

  • Ensure all departures are correctly configured according to agreed schedules, capacity frameworks, and commercial constraints

Schedule change process development

  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve processes for schedule change execution

  • Support clear handovers, timelines, and ownership across stakeholders

  • Reduce manual errors and operational risk through improved structure and governance

Process ownership and standardization

  • Maintain and further develop configuration processes that provide a reliable foundation for Revenue Managers

  • Ensure processes are documented, version‑controlled, and aligned with business rules and system requirements

  • Identify inconsistencies across configurations and drive scalable, standardized solutions across routes

Cross‑functional collaboration

  • Act as an expert on schedule and capacity setup

  • Support cross‑route and cross‑functional projects related to system and process improvements

About you

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all.
With this in mind, we think that you are technically minded and motivated by seeing tangible results from your work. You enjoy working at the intersection of commercial, operational, and technical teams, and you thrive in an environment where priorities can shift and collaboration is essential

We know great candidates come from many backgrounds, so you may not tick every box — and that’s okay. Experience that could help you succeed in this role would be:

  • A strong system configuration background

  • The ability to work independently, manage pressure, and prioritize effectively

  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A structured, detail‑oriented mindset with high standards for data accuracy

  • A proactive and curious approach to improving ways of working

  • Enjoyment in working deeply with details and system configuration, while continuously thinking about how things can be done smarter

What success looks like in this role

  • Accurate and timely configuration of sailings at both annual launch and during in‑year changes

  • High‑quality, standardized processes adopted across routes

  • Reduced errors and rework related to schedule and capacity setup

  • Clear, efficient schedule change processes understood and followed by all stakeholders

  • Strong collaboration across Passenger Revenue Operations and the wider organization
