About the role

As a Staff Engineer in the Global System Support, you serve as the central point between Field Support and Engineering for field issues. You take ownership of the most complex and impactful system-level issues across Enphase’s products.
 
 Key Responsibilities 
  • Perform in-depth root cause analysis of Product related issues Hardware/ Firmware.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to field support teams for issue resolution
  • Drive root cause analysis by coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Create detailed Failure Analysis Reports outlining customer issues, impact, and findings
  • Monitor product failure trends using administrative tools, database queries, and internal systems
  • Develop innovative methods to identify and prevent critical failure modes before product launches
  • Partner closely with Product Line Management (PLM), R&D, and Quality teams to drive product learnings into future designs and releases.
 
Who you are and what you bring 
  • B.E/B.Tech in Electrical engineering with 8 years of experience or M.E/ M.Tech in Electrical engineering with 6 years of experience or Ph.D in Electrical engineering with 2 years of experience in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Systems
  • 3–5 years of experience in Failure Analysis, Product Quality, or Reliability
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, power electronics, and embedded systems
  • Familiarity with PV systems, energy storage, Power Electronicdevicesand Embedded systems and grid services (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including information consolidation andpresentation 
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments (preferred)
  • Data analytics skills (Shell, Python, SQL, PySpark) are an added advantage
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively both independently and in teams.
