Job Description

Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safety oriented I&E Technician with an excellent mechanical aptitude to join our Rollinsford, NH team! The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

 

Wage: 38-45hr DOE

***SIGN ON BONUS for 6/8/26 or 6/15/26 start dates***

  • Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
  • Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
  • Maintains accurate records and logs as required
  • Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
  • Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
  • Services and replaces motors and lighting
  • Performs general electrical maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned 

What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?

  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6+ years electrical experience preferred
  • 3+ years of instrumentation preferred
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) troubleshooting and programming experience preferred
  • Experience reading blueprints, schematics and P&ID’s
  • Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS)
  • Experience with 480v and below
  • Must be willing to jump in and assist maintenance and other teams when needed
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks preferred
  • Mechanically inclined is an asset
  • Lift up 50lb, working at heights, confined/tight spaces, stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions,
