Your role
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and B2B Communications, the Senior Specialist ensures the delivery of high-quality and comprehensive communications, marketing and brand services. As the Senior Specialist in the Toronto Marketing and B2B Communications team, you will collaborate in the creation of a go-to-market strategy and execute a large range of projects for the CBC and Radio-Canada Media Solutions group in English Canada. You will work daily with the Specialist to execute a large number of projects, ranging from organizing large-scale events to planning and producing sales tools. You will be responsible for meeting the quality standards set by the department’s Director and ensure that projects are delivered to these standards.
Key Tasks:
In collaboration with the Manager, Marketing and B2B Communications, identify strategic opportunities and partnerships that add value to the business to achieve business goals.
Analyzes Media Solutions and other internal departmental requests and objectives to determine the precise needs and requirements as it relates to new and existing marketing and partnership opportunities.
Liaise with Media Solutions teams, leaders and other internal stakeholders to ensure an accurate understanding of the requirements.
Define and oversee the resources, internally or externally, for each assigned marketing or communications initiative.
Support the conception of events and partnership strategies and projects for CBC and Radio-Canada platforms, including the Olympic Games, in consultation with Media Solutions Managers and Directors and, upon approval, implement these strategies and projects.
Assess and manage all incoming sponsorship and partnership requests.
Manage the roll-out of plans to launch and execute marketing, communication, partnership, and event strategies.
Participate in large scale event planning and execution, including sourcing, securing and briefing all internal and external vendors and suppliers.
Track and report budgets for specific events and partnership initiatives.
Provides organizational, promotional and creative support to external partners and events sponsored by the CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions to ensure Media Solutions brand guidelines and values are being adhered to.
Liaise with all team members and other teams to obtain regular updates on the project’s status.
Develop, in collaboration with the Manager, an engaged, inclusive and diverse team who are empowered to speak freely and act with integrity.
Contribute to the achievement of major project goals or promote a positive team environment through clear communications.
Develop new ideas and initiatives that improve the performance of the B2B Marketing and Communications team.
Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as requested.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related field.
4+ years’ experience in the industry, performing similar duties.
Bilingualism (spoken and written).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Organized and structured.
Team player.
Proactive and willing to tackle challenges.
Drive for results, demonstrate energy and a desire to succeed, follow through on commitments.
Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as a primary consideration in all business decisions, and the ability to leverage that information to create customized solutions.
