Your role:
Media Solutions is looking for a dedicated Revenue Analytics and Reporting analyst, responsible for generating revenue reports, analyzing and forecasting CBC and industry revenue trends. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue Reporting, the analyst will be a member of a growing Analytics function and will work at the intersection of technology, data and finance to support CBC sales teams across the country. The analyst will work to maintain current processes and reports while making improvements.
Activity:
Help in revenue forecasting and developing reports for use in various special projects;
Support budget planning and target setting process by coordinating with key stakeholders and conducting in-depth data analysis;
Support billing processes, and complete reconciliations;
Assist Sales Managers with the interpretation of various studies and in the development of forecasts and targets;
Generate and maintain Cognos/PowerBI reports for internal and external users;
Provides ongoing support and responding to issues of functionality, resolving problems through instruction on using the system and/or liaison with technical staff;
Works closely with business process owners and users to maintain a detailed understanding of business processes, market standards and user needs;
Performs other related duties as required.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science or related field;
Strong analytical background with understanding Sales systems to optimize data analysis;
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word), including practical PowerBI experience of;
In-depth knowledge of Cognos Analytics and other programming languages such as SQL to extract and manipulate data, an asset;
Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret large volumes of data for non-finance stakeholders;
High attention to detail, independent and proactive;
Ability to independently solve problems and provide workable solutions to management;
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with peers, partners and management, as well as translate non-technical business needs into technical requirements;
Ability to work with various systems simultaneously and quickly adapt to new tools and technologies, with a strong interest in learning new systems;
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects at different stages and with multiple priorities, never losing sight of the details;
Demonstrated initiative, creative problem solving techniques and ability to exercise good judgment when working with stakeholders and making decisions;
Desire to improve efficiencies and help drive sales through analysis and use of appropriate financial metrics;
Fluency in English and French (both spoken and written), a strong asset.
