JOB SUMMARY
|
Direct responsibility to build rapport with, and establish relationships with patients, patient family member(s), and Clinical staff on nursing units. Must demonstrate genuine compassion toward patients and patient family member(s) while performing essential functions below. |
Key Job Responsibilities

Essential Function |
|
Meets with all patients on assigned nursing unit(s) to present and discuss the printed menu. Introduces & explains QR code technology to view menu on-line.
|
|
Prepares, delivers, and recovers all patient meal trays for assigned nursing unit(s).
|
|
Follows established ROC dress code (Policy No: 5.11 – Professional Appearance) and wears the approved uniform for the Patient Dining Representative program. |
|
Works effectively as a team member within department and with customer to provide quality service through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
|
|
Essential Function |
|
|
Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family, department, and hospital information. Adheres to established department and organization policies (i.e., HIPAA, Confidentiality and Compliance Policies). |
|
Maintains required department records, reports, and files. Adheres to established department policies, procedures, objectives, compliance/quality improvement |
|
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and personnel. |
|
Provides coverage for relief and absences within department. Demonstrates flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to maintain coverage for food and nutrition services. |
|
Completes required continuous training and education, including, department specific requirements. |
