Job Description:

Typically:
• Applies a proven understanding of the assigned part of the technical support and systems, as well as interfaces with related areas, to provide technical support in handling specific queries, data verification and assisting in information gathering.
• Handles more complex tasks and patterned activities. Deals with a variety of unambiguous questions, checks correctness of data and adjusts with several sources of information within business supported.
• Works within well-defined and standardized procedures and practices and is supervised on progress and results by manager. Works autonomously within this defined scope, with regular guidance from senior colleagues or own manager.
• Supports internal stakeholders with specific information and/or query resolution.

Specifics and extra accountabilities related to analysts in JG8 operating in the field group team (Emission measurements & Sampling Team). Analysts in this group on JG8 are responsible for performing and reporting the work according to table below.

- Zorg dat emissiemetingen worden uitgevoerd en gerapporteerd volgens site en overheidsvereisten (CO, CO2, SO2, O2, NOx, CxHy).

- Zorg dat correcte analytische technieken gebruikt zijn, gebaseerd op overheidsvereisten (Pernis vergunning).

- Indien nodig, implementeer nieuwe technieken / methodologieën op het gebied van emissiemetingen (in lijn met vergunning).

- Selecteer de juiste bemonstering en analytische aanpak bij operationele problemen (voorbeeld: identificatie of kwantificering van lekkages).

- Denk aan mogelijke verbeteringen (efficiëntie en kwaliteit) van methoden die regelmatig toegepast worden.

- Volg de analytische ontwikkelingen binnen en buiten Shell op het gebied van expertise.

- Technische training / coaching aan nieuwe collega's.

3 Year lab experience and extra experience in the area of emission measurements and sampling.

- Knowledge of relevant norms in the area of emission measurements: ISO 17025, NEN 14181 and CEN / TS 15675.
