Pay Range: State Teacher Salary + [10.5% - 18% local supplement]
Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, foster communication skills, develop an understanding and appreciation of literature of all types, motivate students to read a wide variety of publications to derive information, comprehend and critically assess the reading materials, and to promote the development of skills in the field of English reading, grammar and syntax. Click to view the Teacher job description. Equally, this position will be required to serve as our A.C. Reynolds High School Yearbook Advisor. The applicant applying for this position should well understand that the ACRHS Yearbook is attached to this teaching position and cannot be separated after a length of time without direct approval of the principal; not a request by the teacher. As the ACRHS Yearbook Advisor, the applicant will have one yearbook class in the fall and one class in the spring. Currently, we work with Walsworth for our yearbook publisher.
Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree (click here for more info about Master's pay) Alternative Licensed Pathways: If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
- 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
- Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
- Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply
