Language Arts Consultant

*Required certification options; • Connecticut 097 Certification or; • 102 and 092 combined certification *102 required to start the position, must be enrolled in the 097 and/or 092 program when applying.

ELMS is looking for an innovative, open-minded, and collaborative team member. 

Candidate has experience modeling effective literacy strategies in classrooms and co-teaching lessons, as appropriate, in the content area of English Language Arts. 

Candidate has additional experience in instructing students in grades 5 and above in English Language Arts. 

SUMMARY:

The Language Arts Consultant assesses schoolwide literacy instruction and student performance by using data to drive decision-making and collaborating with school and district stakeholders. The consultant supports the implementation of high-quality, research-based literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading, provides coaching and professional development, coordinates assessment processes, and engages in leadership activities to improve student achievement. This position includes approximately 70% coaching and 30% intervention responsibilities.
