This is how you will grow:
We are seeking two experienced On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Engineers to support urgent project needs across regulatory compliance and R&D initiatives. This role will focus on developing and implementing OBD strategies, architecture, and system-level requirements to ensure compliance and support efficient product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and refinement of OBD compliance strategy and architecture
- Define system and component-level functional allocation for OBD features and requirements
- Identify relevant domains and ECUs, and coordinate with assigned internal and external resources
- Develop detailed OBD monitoring requirements and corresponding test cases
- Document and implement technical requirements in alignment with overall system architecture
- Create and execute OBD compliance validation plans
- Track and report OBD compliance readiness across development stages
- Develop methods for early identification of issues using data from development vehicle fleets
This is how you will take us forward:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience with automotive OBD systems and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of ECU architecture and vehicle systems
- Experience in requirements development, validation planning, and testing
- Familiarity with automotive development processes and tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Novi, MI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting R&D teams in OBD design and implementation
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to OBD compliance
- Experience working with cross-functional and external supplier teams
