Coordinator of School Counseling and LMHP
Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for program administration, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of a comprehensive school counseling program for the district. This role combines leadership in school counseling with oversight of Licensed Mental Health Professionals, demonstrating a commitment to holistic student development.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Master's degree in education, counselling, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
- Valid Texas administrative certification required.
- Professional license required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of counseling procedures and requirements, student appraisal, state curriculum, state assessment, CTE programs, college, and career readiness standards.
- Knowledge of TWEDS/CO22 tables, transcripts, and HB5 graduation requirements.
- Experience with Skyward preferred.
- Knowledge of MTSS tools and systems.
- Ability to interact successfully and develop partnerships with a variety of people and groups. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience required.
- Minimum of three years of school counseling experience required.
- High School counseling experience preferred.
Administrative/Leadership experience preferred.
