Job Description

The I&T Senior Platform Manager (Copilot) is an established technical leader that specialises in the management, operation, and optimisation of Microsoft Copilot and the associated productivity tools, based predominantly around the M365 ecosystem. This role is hybrid and is a combination of business and vendor-facing product management, but also the back-end technology management of underlying platforms and services which underpin the Digital Workplace GenAI service offering.
Reporting to the End User Services Platforms Lead, this role will be the senior representative who engages with the business on all Copilot related initiatives but also orchestrates the governance and technical changes in the back-end. Additionally, this person will pioneer Change & Adoption practices to ensure that Brambles extracts the best value from our investment in the technology.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • ​Manage platform performance, configuration, and operational support to ensure system stability, usability, and data integrity.
  • Coordinate and execute release and upgrade cycles, including testing, documentation, and communication with impacted teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable platform enhancements.
  • Oversee a team of analysts and developers, allocating work, providing coaching, and ensuring high‑quality delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with platform vendors and partners, managing support tickets, issue resolution, and service performance.
  • Support governance processes, including access control, compliance checks, audit reviews, and adherence to platform standards.
  • Monitor platform activity, performance, and user issues, providing data‑driven insights to improve user experience and system efficiency.
  • Contribute to the platform roadmap by identifying improvement opportunities, assessing feasibility, and informing prioritisation decisions.

I&T Senior Platform Manager (Copilot) – Bangalore (Hybrid)

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Operations: Successful running of the I&T Collaboration Platform (Copilot)
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensuring that all services underpinned by the I&T Collaboration Platform are correctly governed and are compliant, liaising with the compliance, legal and risk internal teams.
  • Capability Planning: Developing the capability roadmap for the I&T Collaboration Platform
  • Change Management: Driving the change and adoption strategy, managing any third parties that we may choose to engage in delivery,
  • Optimisation: Driving optimisation outcomes for the I&T Collaboration Platform
  • Vendor Management: Effective management of 3rd party vendors who supply Generative AI related tooling.
  • Stakeholder Management: Managing relationships with wider technology professionals
  • Collaboration and Communication: Influencing the evolution of Generative AI-based digital services through close working and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Innovation: Continuously exploring new features and updates and related technologies to enhance the platform's capabilities and drive innovation within the organization including the management of technical roadmaps.

Challenges/Problem Solving

  • Data Security and Privacy: Ensuring that sensitive data is protected, and that the platform complies with data privacy regulations can be complex. This includes managing access controls and preventing data breaches.
  • Content Management and Data Governance: Effectively managing the vast amount of data and content generated by the platform can be challenging. This involves setting up proper data governance frameworks and ensuring data quality.
  • Ethical Usage: Ensuring that the platform is used ethically and responsibly is crucial. This includes avoiding biases in AI outputs and ensuring that the platform's use aligns with organisational values and ethical standards.
  • Infrastructure Requirements: Maintaining the necessary infrastructure to support the platform’s operations can be demanding. This includes ensuring that the platform has sufficient computational resources and that it integrates seamlessly with existing systems.
  • Employee Training and Adoption: Training employees to effectively use the platform and driving adoption across the organisation can be challenging. This involves creating comprehensive training programs and addressing any resistance to change.
  • Cost Management: Managing the costs associated with deploying and maintaining the platform can be a significant challenge. This includes budgeting for infrastructure, training, and ongoing support.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitoring and optimising the performance of the platform to ensure it meets the organisation's needs can be complex. This involves analysing usage patterns and making necessary adjustments.

Experience:

  • Significant previous experience implementing Generative AI technology (Copilot preferable), as a technical leader
  • 5+ years’ experience managing or influencing technical staff and projects.
  • Proven success in improving the quality and effectiveness of services.
  • Experience working within a matrix structure for a global organisation.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science
  • Program and/or Project Management Certification
  • Modules, certifications or badges relating to the design and implementation of the platform.

                Skills and Knowledge

  • Microsoft 365 and Azure: Understanding the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including applications like Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, as well as Azure services for cloud computing and data management.
  • Microsoft Copilot: Knowledge of licensed and unlicensed Copilot versions, as well as Copilot agents ranging from assistant agents to autonomous agents. Understanding of the AI models used and the governance frameworks that support Copilot and its agents.
  • AI and Machine Learning: Familiarity with AI concepts, machine learning models, and natural language processing (NLP) to understand how the platform leverages these technologies
  • Data Management: Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and compliance standards to ensure secure and compliant use of data within the platform.
  • Power Platform: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, to integrate and extend the platform’s functionalities.
  • Development and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and understanding of APIs to customize and automate platform workflows.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Skills in monitoring system performance, analysing usage patterns, and optimizing the platform for better efficiency and user experience
  • Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to protect the platform and its data from threats.
