Core Job Responsibilities
- Cleans assigned areas throughout the facility such as lobby and common areas, rooms, offices, rest room areas and their contents/fixtures according to policy.
- Maintains an adequate amount of supplies in designated areas (e.g., paper towels, soap, cleaning items, etc.)
- Assists in moving furniture and maintaining lighting in designated areas.
- Manages trash removal to the designated collection site.
- Notifies supervisor of unsafe or inappropriate conditions or equipment.
- Uses supplies in a cost effective manner.
- Assists with special or non-routine cleaning as assigned or scheduled (i.e., annual summer housecleaning).
- Assists other housekeepers with special projects such as meeting set ups and dismantles as requested.
- Uses good customer service skills and builds rapport with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
- Accepts responsibility for snow and ice removal around the building when necessary.
