Job Description

Mission

Support the team in delivering engineering-related the mechanical engineering activities, gaining practical experience in subssea system projects and strategic advisory activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the engineering team in delivering technical analyses and engineering evaluations for subsea systems and offshore projects, with a strong focus on calculation‑driven design support.
  • Support feasibility, performance, and sensitivity assessments of engineering solutions, including preliminary design studies, comparison of technical alternatives, and evaluation of system behavior under varying operating and environmental conditions.
  • Support the development and application of engineering calculation models, using quantitative methodologies to assess loads, responses, thermal‑fluid behavior, and key system parameters.
  • Support activities related to CFD, flow assurance, and numerical simulations; knowledge and hands‑on experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent and multiphase flow simulation tools such as OLGA will be considered a plus.
  • Support data analysis and numerical post‑processing, contributing to the interpretation of simulation outputs and identification of relevant engineering indicators for design verification and optimization.
  • Support the preparation of calculation notes, CFD reports, and technical documentation, ensuring consistency of assumptions, clarity of results, and alignment with engineering standards.
  • Support interface activities with different engineering and project disciplines, contributing technical inputs to multidisciplinary discussions.
    Support participation in technical meetings and design reviews, providing analytical contributions and structured technical reasoning under the supervision of senior engineers.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Studies

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Energy, Civil, Naval, Ocean, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to technical details and numerical accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles applied to subsea systems, including mechanics, structural behavior, hydrodynamics, and materials.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (engineering calculations, data analysis, structured spreadsheets) and PowerPoint for technical presentations.
- Familiarity with, or strong interest in, engineering calculation and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, FEM software, or data post-processing tools is considered a plus.
- Ability to support engineering calculations, prepare calculation notes, and contribute to technical reports and project documentation.
- Good technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to cooperate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams, interacting with senior engineers and project stakeholders
- Fluency in English is considered a plus. #LI-SC1
