JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced IT Trainer to join our team. The IT Trainer will be responsible for assessing the technology training needs of attorneys and professional staff across the Firm, onboarding new hires, and developing, delivering, and administering both in-person and remote training programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology training, excellent instructional and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to deliver effective and engaging learning experiences using a variety of training methods and technologies. This individual will collaborate closely with teams across the Firm to ensure training initiatives align with business needs and organizational objectives.
The IT Trainer will play a key role in supporting the professional development of both current personnel and new hires by delivering high-quality training sessions and maintaining relevant, current training materials. The IT Trainer is also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of our training programs and implementing enhancements based on feedback and performance assessments to support continuous improvement.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Delivery:
Deliver engaging and impactful training sessions classes and/or workshops in-person and remote for newly hired and existing personnel in all offices.
Conduct applications specific demos and workshops.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees or consultation with managers.
Provide training and floor support for firm wide software deployments on an as needed basis
Collaboration:
Work closely with application support teams, Business Analysts (BAs), and Product Managers to ensure training programs align with business needs and support organizational goals. This involves regular meetings to discuss current projects, future requirements, and any specific challenges that need to be addressed.
Curriculum Development:
Develop and update training materials, manuals, documentation, quick tips and/or best practice guides to keep content relevant and up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Create ‘How To” training videos and FAQs as needed. This requires continuous research, consultation with industry experts, and integration of feedback from training participants. Knowledge of Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe Premier and WellSaid a plus.
Troubleshooting:
Provide troubleshooting techniques, and guidance to firm personnel helping them resolve complex technical issues efficiently. This includes practical demonstrations, hands-on problem-solving sessions, and the development of troubleshooting guides and resources.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessments and implement improvements as necessary. This includes conducting surveys, analyzing performance metrics, and holding review sessions to ensure training objectives are met and exceeded. Research and test Firm approved software for desktop and/or mobile devices as required.
EDUCATION
Associate’s degree in information technology or equivalent working experience.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in training, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook
Strong technical knowledge of iManage (DMS), PDF software (Kofax/Adobe), Intapp Time, ServiceNow, etc.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage training programs
Proficiency in instructional design and adult learning principles
Experience with e-learning platforms and training technologies preferred
Experience with mobile devices, e.g., Android, iPhone and iPad
Relevant certifications (e.g., MOS, ITIL, etc.) are a plus

Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
