Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Audiovisual Designer to support planning, architectural, and engineering projects through high-quality audiovisual system design and documentation. In this role, you will contribute to projects across a range of markets by designing integrated AV, public address, and video systems that align with client needs, technical requirements, and project goals throughout the full project lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in AV system design, consulting, or integration who enjoys translating complex technology into clear, coordinated solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, vendors, and clients to ensure audiovisual systems are seamlessly integrated into the built environment.

Essential Duties
- Design audiovisual, public address, and Video Systems across a variety of project types.
- Develop clear, coordinated construction documents including plans, details, signal flow diagrams and construction specifications.
- Build and coordinate AV systems within AutoCad and Revit.
- Work closely with vendors and manufacturers to review products and refine system designs.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and material take offs
- Participate in site visits and field investigation to very existing conditions.
- Support construction administration by responding to RFI’s and reviewing submittals.
- Act as an advocate for thoughtful, high-quality AV design.
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and manufacturer solutions.
- Participate in vendor trainings, industry events, and ongoing learning.
- Assist with structured cabling and low-voltage layouts.
- Coordinate closely with team members to ensure systems are integrated and aligned.
- Contribute to a “one team” approach—supporting others and stepping in where needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in AV system design, consulting, or integration
- Working knowledge of Revit, AV system documentation and EASE software
- Familiarity with specification writing
- Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and coordination
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to engage across disciplines
