Vitalant is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Medical Laboratory Technician, is vital. Operating within a highly regulatory environment, you will contribute to Vitalant's life saving mission by performing laboratory tasks, including component production, labeling, record review and data entry.
What to Expect
Schedule: EVE 2:45PM - 11:15PM works e/o W/E. Shift diff for Evening and W/E applies.
Training Location and schedule: Days 7:00 AM -3:30 PM Monday-Friday

Base Wage: $24.34/hour - $25.18/hour (depending on experience)

As a Medical Technician, you'll get to:
- Ensure accurate maintenance of data records and documentation.
- Perform moderate complexity testing including CMV, Hgb S testing, and operation of a cell counter.
- Perform high complexity testing including Antigen screens, antibody ID, and cross match.
- Manage the labeling of routine and special components and review criteria to determine product acceptability.
- Assist in reconciling reports.
- Associates degree in laboratory science, medical laboratory technology required.
- MLT certification required or qualification for CLIA High Complexity required.
- State license as required by regulations.
- One year of laboratory experience required
- or
- MLT certification or Bachelors required without lab experience.
