The Trivium Cable Plant is seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Project Receiver to play a critical role in implementing new technologies, processes, and equipment that align with our growth objectives.
About the Role:
The Manufacturing Project Receiver will act as the primary liaison between project teams and manufacturing departments, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects that enhance operations and drive revenue growth. From integrating advanced technologies to optimizing processes, this position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary receiver of major capital projects impacting manufacturing operations and revenue growth.
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration to integrate new technologies, equipment, and processes into plant operations.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality, performance, and efficiency goals.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to understand deliverables, timelines, and risks, ensuring operational readiness.
- Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and proactively address issues to avoid delays or disruptions.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment to achieve project objectives.
- Coach and mentor team members, promoting accountability and a culture of operational excellence.
- Coordinate plant resources, infrastructure, and training to support the smooth adoption of new initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements during project implementation.
- Support post-project evaluations to ensure objectives are met and identify areas for improvement.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional travel to other Corning facilities or suppliers may be required.
- Some projects may require extended hours to meet critical deadlines or resolve urgent issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a high-capital, technology-driven environment.
- At least 3 years of direct leadership experience managing teams and driving project outcomes.
- Proven success in delivering complex manufacturing projects, including integrating equipment, processes, and technology.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, operations, and technologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
