
Human Resources Manager - OCS Manufacturing
Job Description
Role Purpose
The Human Resources Manager – OCS Manufacturing is the strategic HR partner to the VP of OCS Manufacturing and leadership team. This role translates manufacturing business strategy into people, organization, and talent plans that enable growth and operational excellence across a global footprint. Operating as a senior HR generalist with no direct reports, the role leads through influence, enabling execution through regional HR Managers and cross‑functional partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to the VP of OCS Manufacturing, providing counsel on organizational effectiveness, leadership, change management, and workforce strategy.
- Translate OCS Manufacturing strategy and growth plans into integrated HR and talent priorities.
- Anticipate people and capability risks and proactively develop mitigation plans.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development for OCS Manufacturing in partnership with regional HR Managers (APAC, Mexico, EMEA).
- Ensure attraction, retention, and development of critical manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain capabilities.
- Support leadership effectiveness through coaching, development, and organizational design initiatives.
- Enable consistent, effective execution of core HR processes (performance management, engagement, employee relations, compensation) across regions.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise HR policies while addressing local regulatory and cultural requirements.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex organizational or employee issues.
- Lead through influence across regional HR teams and global HR partners including Engineering, Quality, External Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain.
- Align regional and functional HR efforts to deliver a cohesive OCS Manufacturing people strategy.
- Act as the connector between OCS Manufacturing and enterprise HR Centers of Excellence.
Experiences/Education - Required
Qualifications & Experience (Summary)
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or HR Director roles
- Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environments
- Proven success in global matrixed organizations
- Strong business acumen, influencing, and change leadership capabilities
