Your Role at Cabot
As an Operational Purchasing Specialist, you will manage and maintain supplier data, onboard new suppliers, and update existing records.
You will support operational purchasing tasks in line with the team’s key performance indicators, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining data accuracy to facilitate efficient procurement processes.
This role is part of the Global Purchasing team, based in Riga, which provides procurement services to multiple manufacturing facilities and offices worldwide.
How You Will Make an Impact
Onboard new suppliers, ensure documentation is complete, and maintain/update supplier records.
Manage catalogue updates in Coupa and JDE based on requests.
Track order acknowledgments, delivery timelines, and supplier compliance.
Resolve supplier issues, including order discrepancies and delivery delays.
Support stakeholders with purchasing inquiries and maintain clear communication on order progress.
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies; follow up on missing invoices.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize purchasing processes.
Assist buyers with daily operational tasks.
Collaborate with teams such as Accounts Payable, Transportation, and Sourcing to ensure smooth procurement processes.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
Previous experience in purchasing/sales/customer facing roles will be considered as advantage.
Good knowledge of standard MS Office software.
Highly organized with strong initiative and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Excellent English.
Knowledge of French, Dutch, Italian or Czech language will be considered as advantage.
Additional Information
Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30
Temporary 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
Monthly allowance & Yearly bonus.
Health insurance from first day of work.
Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days’ work from home).
Salary: 1600 -2200 EUR Gross. The final salary offer will depend on the candidate’s previous experience and qualifications.
