About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Group Accounting Manager to lead the accounting for the Group’s corporate entities. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment where there is significant scope for improvement and automation in close processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the processes for the monthly close of the Group’s corporate holding companies, reporting in line with Group timelines.
- Ensure income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements for Group companies are correctly stated.
- Manage intercompany recharge process for Corporate costs.
- Manage coding of payroll for Corporate employees.
- Work with key stakeholders to deliver accurate budgets and forecasts for the Group’s corporate functions.
- Understand drivers of variances in actual performance against budget and prior year.
- Lead reporting of global shared services (Group and Regional Shared Services combined).
- Assist with cost initiatives in global shared services.
- Drive improvements in close processes and controls, improving the timeliness and accuracy of reporting to Group and key stakeholders.
- Support the management of the Group liquidity facilities, including short- and medium-term cash forecasting, currency management, and hedging.
- Work with the Group Consolidation Manager and Group Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accurate, timely lender reporting and compliance.
- Work with the Group Consolidation Manager to improve intercompany control processes and establish periodic intercompany settlement cycles.
- Support requirements for annual statutory audit.
- Assist with the Group’s transfer pricing calculations.
- Liaise with Group Tax as appropriate.
- Management of Group Accountant(s).
- Support continuous improvements in Finance processes.
- Support Group Finance initiatives as required.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential Skills
- Experience of a corporate accounting and close processes in a global and multi-currency organisation.
- Experience of multi-currency cash and liquidity management.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user.
Preferred Skills
- Experience of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
- Experience in a private equity–backed or fast‑growth environment is advantageous.
