Job Description

 

A construction laborer performs manual tasks at construction sites, contributing to various phases of a project.
Their duties include site preparation, material handling, assisting skilled trades, and maintaining a safe work environment.
They operate hand and power tools, erect scaffolding, and clean up debris.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation:
    This includes clearing debris, digging trenches, and preparing the ground for construction.


  • Material Handling:
    Loading, unloading, and transporting materials to designated areas on the site.


Assisting Skilled Trades:
Helping carpenters, electricians, and other craft workers as directed.


Erecting and Dismantling Structures:
Assembling and taking down temporary structures like scaffolding.


Operating Equipment:
Using hand and power tools, and potentially some light machinery.


Maintaining Safety:
