The University Advancement systems are designed to improve Wash U’s operational excellence and ability to make insight-driven decisions focused on University Advancement activity. ARCH is the system of record for Washington University alumni and donors, and stores biographical, relationship, transactional, research, and activity data for constituents. Marketing Cloud is the system of record to manage our event communications. Critical system functionality of ARCH and accurate data for invitations and communications directly support fundraising and engagement efforts across UA.This position focuses on data; research, analysis, reporting needs, survey work, invitation list formatting/extensions for Marketing Cloud and data projects that improve data quality within Advancement Services. Supports Special Events and University Ceremonies (SEUC) related to data quality, research, and analytics. Utilizes judgment and resourcefulness to research, analyze, and maintain accurate data on alumni and donors in the University’s complex and comprehensive information system, ARCH. Assists in preparing and distributing reports, in gathering data for various projects and surveys, and assists as a liaison on ARCH operation tickets. Identifies and implements new techniques that will considerably improve the data quality of alumni and donors. Reports to the Director in SEUC. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, follow through, and take initiative.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Project management and support for data-focused projects for the SEUC department and special data and invitation projects as directed.
Manage or support special projects focused on data quality as part of the greater Advancement systems replacement planning and/or that will directly impact university fundraising efforts. Including data requests, QC-ing data requests, formatting data extensions for Marketing Cloud.
Work with WashU IT and Advancement Services management to prioritize, analyze, and test WashU IT projects related to SEUC data.
Perform analysis of data definitions and existing reports and suggest data correction, report improvements, and new/improved documentation.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SEUC for all UA-approved software that partners with ARCH, Marketing Cloud, and Advancement Form.
Support SEUC coordinators and administrations as the liaison and SME for data requests, constituency query needs, and data extension best practices.
Support SEUC management with actionable data insights documentation, as directed by audience needs, PowerPoint presentation support.
Complex invitation (tier), data extensions formatting and upload into Marketing Cloud.
Reporting and Surveys:
Assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
Assist with gathering and analyzing data surveys.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the set of data integrity audit reports for ARCH and Marketing Cloud data.
Submit ARCH Cases as part of data clean/accurate data efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located in St. Louis, MO and the targeted hiring range for this position is $21.17 - $24.50 per hour.
This is a time limited position, anticipated to last one year and is full time benefits eligible.

$21.17 - $32.85 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
