JOB TITLE: Honeycomb Grill Lead Server
DIVISION: Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: Honeycomb Grill Manager
LOCATION: Honeycomb Grill
CLASSIFICATION: Part Time/Seasonal/Hourly
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Lead Server is responsible for supervising the setup of the restaurant, running food, bussing tables, assisting other servers and bartenders and creating an all-around great dining experience for guests. The Lead server is to be placed in charge whenever management is unavailable.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be organized
- Must have excellent customer service
- Must be able to delegate responsibility
- Must be a leader
- Must have great problem solving and basic math skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Food Handler’s Permit
- Sips N Tips Certification
- Ability to multi-task
- Organizational skills
- Knowledge of food and beverages
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take food and beverage orders from guests
- Be knowledgeable about the Honeycomb Grill menu and be able to make recommendations and answer guests’ questions
- Set up the restaurant for food service, set tables with linens, silverware, and stemware
- Monitor, evaluate, and audit food and beverage quality and service
- Help the restaurant manager, kitchen staff, host, and other servers when needed and complete additional tasks as needed (i.e. shoveling patio)
- Supervise and assist close down and cleaning of the restaurant and prepare it for food service the next day
- Solve any problems that arise and act as leader to all staff
- Other duties as assigned
