Ankura is a team of excellence founded on innovation and growth.

Role Overview:

The Talent Acquisition Operations Process Consultant will provide critical interim support during a period of team transition while also helping modernize and scale TA Operations. This role is responsible for maintaining continuity of core operational activities, identifying efficiencies, and establishing sustainable processes, documentation, and training that will inform long‑term staffing and operating model decisions.

This is a hands‑on role suited for someone who can balance day‑to‑day execution with process design and operational maturity work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. TA Operations Execution (Business Continuity)

Provide operational coverage and ensure uninterrupted delivery of core TA services, including:

  • Managing and adjudicating background checks across multiple regions

  • Coordinating with vendors to resolve issues and ensure compliance

  • Processing and reconciling TA‑related invoices

  • Supporting core recruitment operations workflows to maintain service levels during team transition

2. Process Improvement & Operational Maturity

Evaluate, redesign, and standardize TA Operations processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and clarity, including:

  • Documenting end‑to‑end workflows for TA Operations activities

  • Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Designing templates, trackers, and operational tools to support scale

  • Identifying opportunities to automate manual or redundant processes

  • Recommending process improvements that reduce reliance on headcount over time

3. Training & Knowledge Transfer

Ensure TA Operations knowledge is institutionalized and transferable by:

  • Developing training materials tied to documented SOPs

  • Creating clear onboarding and handoff documentation

  • Enabling future team members to quickly assume responsibilities with minimal ramp time

4. Vendor Evaluation & RFP Support (Background Checks)

Support a potential RFP and vendor transition process by:

  • Assessing current background check practices and requirements by country

  • Partnering with stakeholders to define appropriate screening standards globally

  • Evaluating service offerings, coverage, and capabilities of alternative providers

  • Supporting implementation planning, documentation, and training if a new vendor is selected

5. Strategic Input on Future TA Ops Design

Leverage insights from execution and process work to inform future-state decisions, including:

  • Recommendations on optimal staffing model (e.g., number of resources required)

  • Input on ideal hiring location/market for long‑term support

  • Identification of work that can remain centralized, automated, or vendor‑managed

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Talent Acquisition Operations, HR Operations, or People Operations

  • Strong background in process design, documentation, and continuous improvement

  • Hands‑on experience managing background checks and third‑party TA vendors

  • Proven ability to operate independently in a fast‑moving, transitional environment

  • Strong attention to detail coupled with a systems‑level perspective

  • Excellent written communication skills for SOPs, training materials, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years experience supporting global or multi‑country hiring operations

  • Exposure to RFP processes and vendor implementations

  • Comfort working in environments undergoing change or re‑design
