We are seeking an IT Ignition Application Developer I for our shared services Information Technology (IT) department in the Atlanta, GA office.

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical skills and passion for software development to contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, operations personnel, and IT professionals, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
• Develop software applications using Ignition by Inductive Automation that support manufacturing processes, such as inventory management, production scheduling, quality control, and data
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python and
• Develop intuitive user interfaces that optimize user experience and facilitate seamless interaction with manufacturing systems.
• Monitor and maintain connections with systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and
• Assist with thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and
• Adhere to continuous improvement/deployment, software development lifecycle, and version control
• Document application updates and user guides for future reference and knowledge
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in manufacturing and software
• Travel may be required up to 25%.

 Experience

• Experience or knowledge of manufacturing processes and
• Familiarity with industrial automation and SCADA systems, with an emphasis on Ignition from Inductive
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as Power BI or
• Experience with version control systems, such as
• Understanding of agile software development

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Relevant work experience in a similar field will improve
• Solid understanding of software development principles and
• Experience in one or more programming languages, such as SQL, Python,
• Familiarity with web technologies or frameworks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web
• Knowledge of databases and SQL for data management and reporting, emphasize on MSSQL and PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning and applying new Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Certifications

• High School Diploma
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering preferred
• Ignition Core Certification

Additional Information

• May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for system maintenance.
