Job Summary:
Responsible for oversight of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement ("QAPI") Programs to ensure efficient processes, quality clinical care, patient safety, and compliance with all regulatory requirements, such as OPTN/UNOS and CMS. Responsible for developing and coordinating comprehensive and integrated disease specific program policies, processes and quality metrics. Responsible for the creation, provision and presentation of solid organ transplant service line dashboards, QAPI meeting presentations, and all other requested data by physician and clinical leadership. Must bring lasting organizational change and adherence to the programs through metric measurement and reporting outcomes at the service line levels. Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the transplant quality team. Responsible for the training and orientation of all direct reports, ensuring competencies and is responsible for all human resource aspects.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in solid organ transplant and an in-depth solid understanding of transplant quality and regulations are required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in transplant quality role, preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree is required.
Master’s degree must be in nursing or an associated field (e.g. Management, Organizational Leadership, Education, Business).
15 plus years of proven success in process/performance improvement with Six Sigma Belt/LEAN training may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication; strong editing skills and detail orientation.
Able to bring disparate groups to consensus in order to move quality initiatives forward.
