We are looking for a Behavioral Threat Assessment Consultant & Trainer to support schools across Indiana in the implementation and advancement of behavioral threat assessment (BTA) practices. This position will be Full-Time on a 6-12 month contract and Hybrid.
This position serves as a statewide resource, providing expert consultation, training, and resource development to enhance schools’ ability to identify, assess, and manage potential threats using a proactive, multidisciplinary approach.

What You’ll Do
Provide expert consultation to schools on behavioral threat assessment practices.
Deliver training sessions and workshops to equip school personnel with the skills to identify, assess, and manage potential threats.
Develop resources and tools to support schools in implementing effective BTA programs.
Collaborate with school safety teams, administrators, and other stakeholders to advance the use of proactive, multidisciplinary threat assessment approaches.
Serve as a subject matter expert on risk assessment, behavioral analysis, and crisis intervention for schools across Indiana.
What You'll Need
Required:
Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential threats to students or staff
Behavioral Analysis: Proficiency in recognizing concerning behaviors, psychological patterns, or early warning signs
Crisis Intervention: Skills to de-escalate potentially harmful situations
Preferred:
Experience working in educational settings or with school safety initiatives
Knowledge of behavioral threat assessment models and frameworks
Strong communication and presentation skills
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person.
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$52 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
