Job Description

We are seeking a General Manager for our locations in Harlingen (conventional) and Lelystad (automated high-bay). In this dual-site role, you will have final responsibility for both operations, with a clear initial focus on Harlingen. As General Manager, you provide oversight and direction, and translate strategy into concrete improvements on the shop floor. In Harlingen, the emphasis is on creating structure and stability, while in Lelystad you further optimize the performance of an advanced, automated operation.
You will lead both sites and the local management teams, with a focus on operational execution, change management, and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a strong, pragmatic leader who feels at home in an environment where not everything is set in stone and who makes a difference precisely in such situations.
Your responsibilities:

- Managing KPIs, budgets, and corporate reporting
- Initiating and implementing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Acting as a change manager for process improvements and organizational development
- Establishing structure, standardization, and clear working methods
- Harmonizing processes between conventional and automated environments
- Managing projects such as system implementations and optimizations
- Ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
- Building a strong, engaged, and results-oriented culture
Experience and skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within logistics, supply chain, or warehousing
- Experience managing multiple sites is a strong plus
- HBO-level education and thinking
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
- Demonstrable experience with change management and process improvement (Lean)
- Strong at bringing structure and clarity to complex environments
- Analytical and accustomed to making decisions based on data, KPIs, and reports
- Hands-on mentality and visible leadership on the work floor
- Experience with budget management and financial reporting
What do we offer?
- Competitive salary
- Excellent benefits package in accordance with the AVR
- Bonus scheme
- Company car
- 28 vacation days
- Work in a dynamic logistics environment with a high level of responsibility
