Sunbilt invites suitably interested candidates to apply for an opportunity to work with our devoted team as a Sales Clerk. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service to our customers while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.


PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
The primary responsibilities of this post are to actively seek out and engage customers by promoting merchandise in the housewares department, ensure customers’ needs are adequately met and exceeded, to ensure that departments are adequately stocked and appropriately merchandised and the stock as reflected by the operating system is accurate.


KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Provide customers with excellent customer service, generate additional sales, and provide service excellence.

  • Arrange and display goods on the sales floor to facilitate easy, speedy, and safe access.

  • Merchandising.

  • Effectively order goods from the warehouse and other retail floors.

  • Respond to customers’ inquiries, complaints, and product queries.

  • Assist with stock take.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Five CXC passes at General proficiency level including Mathematics and English Language.

  • At least one (1) year of sales experience in the retail industry.

  • Computer literate in at least Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

  • Ability to act independently while performing required tasks.

  • Ability to use tact and courtesy at all times.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with other employees.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to coordinate activities between different locations.

  • Ability to get individual and group tasks completed efficiently and on a timely basis.
