Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Supervisor at St John of God Health Care. In this role, you will be accountable for managing all environmental caregivers to ensure a high-quality cleaning service is maintained across : Berwick Hospital & Langmore Centre.
You will oversee daily environmental duties, including patient room and common area cleaning, supply and equipment management, and adherence to infection control, financial, and hospital policies. This is a permanent part-time role for 32 hours a fortnight, this includes weekend work.
The Position:
Closely monitor productivity targets ensuring the WHPPD targets are achieved in line with correct daily rosters.
Liaise with all environmental caregivers to ensure effective use of resources, caregivers, equipment and facilities.
Actively support and participate in accreditation.
Provide leadership and direction to all caregivers within the Environmental department, including Environmental Services Assistants and Waste Handlers.
Provide resources to efficiently meet the Environmental department work hours, annual leave targets and service goals.
Prepare rosters, ADO and leave schedules.
Ensure team compliance with all mandatory training requirements, policies and procedures, customer service and infection control standards relevant to particular roles.
You will have proven experience in environmental services within the healthcare industry, ideally in a hospital setting, along with a strong track record in team management, staff development, and training.
To succeed in this role, you will be skilled in managing complex rostering and staff allocation systems, and demonstrate a clear commitment to quality improvement and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas.

We will offer you
Salary: $79,668 to $83,052 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation.
Permanent part time position, up to 32 working hours a fortnight.
