Job Description:

Would you like to grow your skills in a challenging and rewarding career with a growing recycling organization? We are seeking a Logistic Admin/Weighmaster for our Sarasota plant We are looking for someone who is highly organized, analytical, and operations‑focused professional to support plant administration, material movement, and trucking operations.

This hybrid role plays a critical part in daily plant operations—serving as the central hub for weighing, logistics coordination, reporting, and operational analysis—while partnering with plant leadership to improve efficiency, cost control, and decision‑making.

Your Impact in This Role

Weighing, Yard & Logistics Operations

  • Weigh inbound and outbound materials and accurately enter weight tickets
  • Monitor daily yard movements, material flow, and scale activity
  • Schedule trucks for deliveries and pickups and direct unloading activity
  • Communicate service updates with suppliers, customers, and drivers
  • Ensure compliance with inbound quality inspection procedures

Trucking & Operations Analytics

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret trucking data including fuel usage, route efficiency, maintenance costs, and driver performance
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for trucking and plant operations
  • Identify trends, performance gaps, and cost‑reduction opportunities
  • Recommend and support implementation of process improvements and best practices
  • Stay current on transportation regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies

Reporting & Business Analysis

  • Run and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
  • Create dashboards, charts, graphs, and Excel‑based databases
  • Generate regular and ad‑hoc reports to support leadership decision‑making

Administrative & HR Support

  • Answer phones professionally and provide front‑office coverage
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Office Manager

What You Bring to the Table

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience)
  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics, trucking, plant operations, or operational analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Business Central preferred)

Preferred

  • Weights and Measures experience
  • Working knowledge of ENWIS, ADP, and Citrix
  • Trucking or transportation industry experience
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Glass processing or industrial manufacturing experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
